Ask an Expert is a way for you to get answers from the Oregon State University Extension Service. We have experts in family and health, community development, food and agriculture, coastal issues, forestry, programs for young people, and gardening.
Q: In my quest to save water because of the drought, I have begun to use dishwater to water my garden. The dishsoap I use claims to be safe for grey water use and I use the water within 24 hours. Are there any tips or concerns I should be keeping in mind?
With the $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative, the team hopes to improve bee nutrition by building a database of macro and micronutrients found in the flowering plants used in the study.
